This is the RN52, the main road from the north of Argentina to Chili. it also crosses the Salinas Grandes, a huge 5.000 square kilometers salt lake. Unfortunately we didn't reach the salt lake that day because of local farmers who damaged the road in order to invigorate their demands to the government not to build a salt processing factory. If you look closely you could see a 6km traffic jam stretching all the way to the salt planes. When we were stuck in traffic I took a picture of the truck in front of us. We had to turn our car and return another day.
